How can I restrict remote users to a single session?

single remote session single instance multiple connections reconnection

Sometimes it can happen that reconnecting users are not reconnected their disconnected sessions. Instead they get a new session with a separate session ID.

By default, remote desktop users are not restricted to a single remote session.

You can restrict users to a single remote session by enabled following setting in the XP/VS Terminal Server Administrator:

Go to “Options” and enable the setting “Restrict Terminal Services users to a single remote session”.

This prevents your users from having multiple sessions at the same time.
